Rustic Blush by Verna Mosquera for Free Spirit Fabrics - PWVM129.IRON Retro Polka Dot-Iron
A message from Verna - I've always been fascinated with vintage items. My home is full of them and I thoroughly enjoy the hunt to find just the right ones. I often wonder what sets apart someone's old junk and makes it my treasure. I like to call it 'tattered perfection'. During a recent antiquing trip I was inspired to create my latest collection, Rustic Blush. That day I began to notice the contrast between that which is soft and delicate to that which is rough and harder-edged. I grouped together wood remnants from a farmhouse, tattered paint brushes with worn handles, smooth pearls strung on bits of broken jewelry, bronzed candlesticks with shiny crystal drops, tarnished trophies, faded leather book covers, and a vintage prom dress with soft velvet accents and layers of tulle.
