The guide of this foot aligns edges/seams of fabric so that neatly parallel edge stitching and topstitching can be achieved with ease. Adjust the guide by turning the screw to match the edge/seam precisely. Perfect to create tucks, hems and fine edge projects such as that on lace or ribbon or a decorative edge.
