Folded Log Cabin Class

Folded Log Cabin - class available either on a Monday 7/6/26 or a Saturday 7/11/26
If you love traditional quilt patterns like a log cabin, you'll really enjoy this method. Folded log cabins are art quilts, allowing for many unique and interesting ways for display and use. They are also a great stash buster!
Join Vickie to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art!
Supplies needed:
Sewing machine with new needle (and cord and foot)
Thread, neutral colors work well
Scissors and pins
Metal 6" hem gauge ruler with sliding tip available here or in the store
Walking foot helps with density but it isn't required
(3) 7"x7" muslin squares (will be provided in class)
1/3 yd each of THREE contrasting fabrics, cut into 1 1/2" strips by WOF (smaller prints work best)
BEFORE CLASS:
Fold your WOF fabric strips lengthwise and press with a hot steam iron to create a good fold. Use a misting bottle or light starch if you prefer.
OPTIONAL: This book - Folded Log Cabin Quilts by Sarah Kaufmanis - is nice to have to see different ideas but it isn't necessary to complete your blocks. Vickie will teach the whole process.
At the time of setting up this class the book is available in these places:
Amazon has it included in Kindle Unlimited and may have used copies available.
C&T Publishing has a PDF version available. $11.99
Barnes & Noble has an eBook available $8.99.
There are other places with used copies.
