Sewing Machine
Be familiar with your machine
Know how to put the feed dogs down or cover them
Bring your quilting foot or darning foot
Bring your machine instruction book
Bring your extension table if you have one
Needles
Schmetz Topstitch needle, size 14/90 - sometimes quilting needles will work, it depends on your machine
Thread
40 or 50 weight cotton thread - Aurifil, Gutterman, Mettler, YLI, or King Tut
Prepare several bobbins with the different color thread than top
A contrasting color thread from your quilt sandwich is helpful
Quilt Sandwich
3 or 4 quilt sandwiches - 16 inches or bigger
A solid color is best so you can see your stitches and contrasting from the thread
The batting may be cotton, silk, or wool 100% polyester is difficult to work with
Basic Sewing Supplies
Scissors
Ruler
Paper
Pencil
